HUG is short for Hubspot User Group. We are an informal group of inbound marketing professionals that meet in person to learn about inbound marketing best practices and how to get the most out of using the HubSpot software. Members include current and prospective HubSpot customers as well as agency professionals.
Fun and inspiring! Members share tips, tools and tricks to start, improve, or expand upon their inbound marketing efforts. Presentations feature group leaders, member-to-member sharing or Hubspot guest speakers. Build an inbound marketing network to learn from, bounce ideas off, and have a few laughs.
Anyone and everyone who is interested in learning about inbound marketing and marketing automation, or who would like to know more about HubSpot marketing automation and inbound marketing is welcome.
You do not need to be a HubSpot customer to attend a HUG meeting.
You will meet other HubSpot customers, share inbound marketing tips and learn best practices. This HUG is for you if you enjoy:
Sign up as a member of the Vancouver HubSpot User Group and we'll keep you posted on BC-based events and HubSpot happenings.
No. Although most of our members are active users of the Hubspot platform, we welcome anyone interested in learning more about HubSpot or inbound marketing in general to participate as our guest.
Our meetups are casual and friendly, usually held in the morning at a member’s office. We provide the snacks and coffee, you provide the conversation!
All our meetings follow a similar agenda, which includes time for networking, an educational presentation - typically a deep-dive into some aspect of the HubSpot tools or a customer case study, and a group discussion. At least twice each year we welcome guest speakers from HubSpot headquarters.
No. The sole purpose of a HUG is to get together and learn the best HubSpot has to offer from one another. A basic tenet of inbound marketing is understanding that people don't like to be sold to. We earn trust through education and knowledge.
We welcome agency partners of Hubspot to join us and share their experience with our members. Both Stephan and Paula run active inbound marketing agencies after all!
That said, we follow a strict ‘no selling’ policy – agency representatives are expected to participate in their capacity as avid users of the Hubspot platform, one of the company's tenets being to "stop pitching, start helping".
Absolutely! One of the more challenging aspects of meetup planning is finding affordable space, especially in Vancouver! If your company can accommodate the group, let's chat.
We look for locations our members can get to easily via transit that offers high-speed wi-fi, a large presentation monitor (or a large screen and laptop projector), enough space for networking, and the ability to bring in food and drinks.
In exchange for your hospitality, we'll include your logo and link to your site on our registration landing page, as well as social media promotion. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to start a conversation!
Business cards for networking, something to take notes plus an open mind for learning and sharing. Wi-fi will be available, if you want to bring your laptop or tablet.
